Dietrich Bürkel

Dietrich Bürkel (born January 2, 1905 in Munich-Gladbach ; † December 25, 1986 ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After graduating from high school, Bürkel studied law, which he completed with a doctorate. During his studies in 1927 he became a member of the Frankonia fraternity in Bonn . He then entered the civil service and became a member of the NSDAP as a trainee lawyer in 1933 ( membership number 3.144.725).

In 1940 Bürkel was appointed government councilor at the regional labor office in Cologne and from 1943 to 1945 he was the chief department manager for labor at the regional labor office in Düsseldorf . From 1947 to 1967 he was the managing director of the Association of the Textile Industry on the Lower Rhine . From 1949 he worked as a lawyer.

Bürkel was elected to the Mönchengladbach City Council in 1952 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1957. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia .
