Dietrich Bickel

Dietrich Bickel (born January 25, 1932 in Apolda ; † January 30, 2020 in Homberg (Efze) ) was a German legal scholar .

Life

The son of a businessman, he studied law and political science in Göttingen and Marburg from 1951 . During his studies he joined the Marburg Wingolf . In 1958 he passed the first state examination in law and in 1963 the second state examination in law. From 1963 he was a research assistant in Marburg. After receiving his doctorate in 1967 in Marburg with Ernst Wolf and his habilitation in 1970 with Ernst Wolf, he taught general legal theory, civil law and labor law as a professor at the University of Marburg from 1972 to 1996 . From 1991 to 1993 he was visiting professor in Jena . Since 1996 he has been a lawyer in Homberg (Efze) .
