Dietrich Christoph von Groß called von Schwarzhoff (born February 28, 1810 in Darkehmen , † March 12, 1896 in Berlin ) was a German administrative officer and politician .

Von Groß was the son of the Prussian captain Karl Leopold Ludwig Friedrich (von) Groß and his wife Julie Friederike, née von Schwarzhoff. The grandfather and the father have had the title of nobility since 1801. The Prussian name and coat of arms association "von Groß gen. Von Schwarzhoff" dates from February 6, 1835. He was of Protestant denomination and remained unmarried.

From great was Herr auf Dargels. After completing his studies, he was a trainee lawyer with the government in Königsberg in 1835 and there in 1838 a government assessor. In 1840 he was initially acting administrator of the district office and then definitely district administrator in the Braunsberg district . In 1854 he became a senior government councilor in Köslin and in 1864 government vice president and representative of the senior president in Magdeburg.

In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament .

He was awarded the Red Eagle Order 2nd Class with Oak Leaves and the House Order of the Hohenzollern .
