Dietrich Siegfried Classen

Dietrich Siegfried Clässen (born November 4, 1685 in Frankfurt (Oder) , † December 16, 1743 in Herborn ) was professor of theology and rector of the Friedrich-Werderisches Gymnasium in Berlin.

In 1710 he became vice-principal of the reformed Friedrichsschule in Frankfurt (Oder), in 1713 rector of the Friedrich-Werderisches Gymnasium in Berlin. From 1714 he also worked as a preacher in Berlin. In 1720 he became a professor at the Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). In 1726 he was court preacher and consistorial councilor in Küstrin , in 1732 a reformed preacher in Stolp , then professor, court preacher and vice-general superintendent in Herborn.

The funeral speeches for the pastor of the Reformed Church and professor of theology in Frankfurt (Oder) Philipp Ouseel (1671–1724) and his wife are preserved in the city archive of Frankfurt (Oder) (STA FF, IV 87).
