Dietrich von Horn (* 1944 in Hohenstein , Eckernförde district ) is a German artist and author .

Life and work

Dietrich von Horn studied education with a focus on art from 1968 to 1971 and worked as a teacher at the primary and secondary school in Bargteheide -Land. In 1976 he was a founding member of the Bargteheide Art Circle and exhibited his works at exhibitions in the Bargteheide signal box, small theater, Ahrensburg "Galerie Schwarzbrot", Eckernförde, Bad Oldesloe , Hamburg and Deville-les-Rouen .

In 2012 Dietrich von Horn won the "Hamburger Abendblatt-Romanwettbewerb" with his episodic novel "But otherwise not much has happened". In it he describes the inhabitants of a fictional village high in the north. In 2013 his second novel "Immer is' was" was published, which tells the story of an adolescent's search for meaning in life like a collage.
