Dietrich von Klattau († 1387 ) was Elect of Breslau from 1376 to 1378 and Bishop of Breslau from 1378 to 1380 .

Life

Dietrich von Klattau was the dean of the Breslau cathedral and after the death of Preczlaw von Pogarell was elected bishop by the cathedral chapter there on April 27, 1376. Until November 8, 1378, when the election was confirmed by the Avignonese antipope Clement VII , he remained Elect . Dietrich's ordination took place in Avignon .

In another election in 1380, the Wroclaw Cathedral Chapter elected the Olomouc bishop Johannes von Neumarkt as Wroclaw bishop, the candidate of Emperor Charles IV and Pope Gregory XI. The newly elected bishop died before he took office.

Dietrich von Klattau stayed in Avignon and never returned to Breslau. He is said to have died in February or March 1387.
