Dimi Palos
Dimitrios Papadopoulos (born July 25, 1941 in Athens ) is a Greek singer ( tenor ).
Life
Palos studied singing at the Greek National Conservatory. He has lived in Germany since 1960. He studied at the state music academies in Cologne and Munich . In 1970 Palos founded the first private music school in Bavaria. Today the school is called "Music Academy Munich - Academy for Music and Theater" and is directed by his daughter Daniela. From 1968 to 1977 he sang as the first chorister with a solo engagement at the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich . He has been a doctor of philosophy since 1978 (doctoral thesis: Association and Creativity through Listening to Music ).
Palos heads the opera department at the Munich Music Academy and is regional choir director south of the German Choir Association (DCV).
