Dimityr Sograf , actually Dimityr Christow Dospewski ( Bulgarian Димитър Зограф ; * 1796 in Samokow ; † October 9, 1860 ibid) was a Bulgarian painter .
He is known as a painter of icons and frescoes and a representative of the Samokow painting school . The icons he created can be found in churches in Plovdiv and Berkovitsa . He also created frescoes in the Rila Monastery . Among his students were his brother Sachari Sograf and his sons Safir Dospewski , Nikola Dospewski , Sachari Dospewski and Iwan Dospewski .
