Dimitar Iwanow Iwankow ( Bulgarian Димитър Иванков ; born October 30, 1975 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian football goalkeeper .

Career

Ivankov began his career at Levski Sofia , for which he played until 2005 and with whom he was able to win the Bulgarian championship three times and the national cup five times. The goalkeeper then moved to Kayserispor in Turkey . With this team he won the Turkish Cup in 2008. Since June 2008 he has been playing for the Turkish first division club Bursaspor . In the 2009/10 season he was Turkish champions with Bursaspor and took part in the Champions League with the club in 2010/11 .

For the 2011/12 season Iwankow changes to the Cypriot First Division Team Anorthosis Famagusta after his contract with Bursaspor was no longer extended.

Dimitar Ivankov is the goalkeeper of the Bulgarian national team , for which he has played 50 international matches and with which he participated in the 2004 European Football Championship in Portugal .

Ivankov is one of the few goalkeepers who has ever scored a goal. He has scored a total of 40 goals in his career, making him fourth among the most successful goal scorers among goalkeepers (as of August 2010).
