Dimitrios Tsionanis

Dimitrios Tsionanis ( Greek Δημήτριος Τσιονάνης , born August 31, 1961 in Alistrati , Greece ) is a former German-Greek football player .

Club career

Tsionanis had been part of the youth division of SV Waldhof Mannheim since 1971 and then spent all of his professional time at SV Waldhof. He played 42 games and 20 games in the second division south in the 2nd Bundesliga between 1981/82 and 1982/83 and in the 1990/91 season. Furthermore, Tsionanis played 146 Bundesliga games between 1983/84 and 1989/90, in which he scored six goals and saw twenty yellow cards. Tsionanis celebrated his greatest success with 6th place in the Bundesliga 1984/85 . From the beginning of 2011 to mid-2013 he was the coach of the regional division Enosis Mannheim.

International matches

He played an international match for Greece . On September 24, 1986 he came in a 3-1 defeat in a friendly against Spain in the 76th minute for Kostas Mavridis on the field.
