Pantelis "Panto" Tsionanis ( Greek Παντελής Τσιωνάνης Pandelís Tsionánis , born December 6, 1962 ) is a former Greek football player .

family

Together with his mother and siblings (including his brother Dimitrios , who was also a soccer player), Pantelis Tsionanis came to Germany in 1970. At this point in time, his father was already working as a guest worker in Germany.

Career

In 1971 Tsionanis went to SV Waldhof Mannheim . For the 1981/82 season he moved from the A-youth, with which he was 1980 German A-youth champion, in the professional team (2nd Bundesliga). On November 15, 1981, at the age of 18, he made his second division debut when coach Klaus Schlappner replaced him in the 89th minute of the game against Hertha BSC (4-2). After the rise of SVW in 1983, he came to a Bundesliga game. In total he played 17 times for the first team of SV Waldhof. He came into the game as a substitute every time.

In 1984 he moved to the amateur league Baden-Württemberg for FV 09 Weinheim . Then he played, also in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg, for the clubs VfR Mannheim (1989 to 1993) and SV Sandhausen (from 1993). After the SVS rose to the Regionalliga in 1995, he was no longer in the Sandhausen squad.
