The Dinghy Point ( English for Dingispitze is) a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It lies on the south bank of Prince Olav Harbor in Cook Bay and forms the border between South Bay in the west and East Bay in the east.
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it in 1929 and named it Pram Point . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee decided to rename it in 1991 to avoid confusion with Pram Point in Leith Harbor in Stromness Bay .
