Dino Attanasio

Edoardo Attanasio alias Dino Attanasio (born May 8, 1925 in Milan ) is an Italian comic artist .

Life

As a young man, Attanasio emigrated to Belgium and worked for Tintin magazine . For this magazine he designed the series Spaghetti (Text: René Goscinny ) and Modeste et Pompon (German: Mausi and Paul ). He took over the latter series from André Franquin . From the mid-1960s he also worked for the Italian magazine Corriere dei Piccoli , for which he designed the series Ambrogio et Gino , Il colonnello Squilla e Pepè and Gianni Flash . From 1969 he drew the humorous detective series Johnny Goodbye for the Dutch magazines Pep and Eppo (texts: Martin Lodewijk , Yves Duval and others). His late work includes the creation of a comic version of Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron .

In Germany he is best known for his Spaghetti , The Macaronis , Mausi and Paul and Johnny Goodbye series . In addition, a story by Ambrogio et Gino was published in German under the title Anatol & Sohn .
