Dino Boffo

Dino Boffo (born August 19, 1952 in Asolo ) is an Italian journalist .

Life

Boffo studied at the University of Padua and then worked as a journalist in Italy. From 1994 to 2009 he was editor-in-chief of the Italian, Catholic-oriented newspaper Avvenire . On October 18, 2010, Boffo became director of the Italian television channel TV2000.

In early September 2009 he resigned as editor-in-chief of the Avvenire newspaper. In a media battle in Italy, his private life had come to the center of the journalistic and domestic political disputes in Italy. The Italian newspaper Il Giornale , owned by the brother of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi , had previously reported that Boffo was allegedly homosexual and threatened the wife of a homosexual friend in 2004. The Avvenire newspaper had previously criticized the lifestyle of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in connection with his sex affairs and also denounced Italy's tightened refugee policy.

Boffo is married and has a family.
