Dino Verde

Dino Verde (born July 13, 1922 in Naples , † February 1, 2004 in Rome ; actually Edoardo Verde ) was an Italian screenwriter and songwriter .

Verde was trained at the Accademia Aeronautica and took part in World War II . He then earned his living working on the radio; He also quickly received orders for film scripts. Starting in 1952, he wrote almost 50 films over the next 20 years. He also directed the film Scanzonatissimo , a popular hit parade at the time with a connecting storyline . He created a number of successful programs for television.

He was also successful as a lyricist for numerous Italian songs, such as Domenico Modugnos Piove (ciao, ciao bambina) , which won the Sanremo Festival in 1959 and took part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1959 .
