The 4th Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson Européenne (the official title at the time) took place on March 11, 1959 in the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. The moderator was Jacqueline Joubert .

    Voting procedure

    Again there were 10 jury members in each country, each of whom was allowed to give one vote to a song. The results were communicated to Cannes by telephone and publicly.
