The 6th Eurovision Young Dancers took place on June 6, 1995 in the Palais de Beaulieu , in Lausanne , Switzerland . The organizer was SRG SSR , which was commissioned to host a Eurovision Young Dancer for the first time.
The winner was the Spanish dance duo Jesús Pastor Sahuquillo & Ruth Miró Salvado with their dance Arrayan Daraxa . It was Spain's fourth win in the competition and the third in a row. At that time, no other country except Ireland had managed to win a Eurovision competition three times in a row in the Eurovision Song Contest . Second place went to the Swedish dancer Nadja Sellrup, while the Belgian dancer Jeroen Hofmans took third place.
venue
SRG SSR chose the Palais de Beaulieu in Lausanne as the venue . Switzerland hosted the Eurovision Song Contest there as early as 1989 . However, it was the first time that Switzerland hosted an EYD.
format
Dancers between the ages of 16 and 21 could perform. However, only solo dancers or couples could compete. There was another semi-final, as the number of participants would otherwise exceed the time frame. There all 15 participants competed against each other, of which only nine qualified for the final. There was still a professional jury, but it again awarded 1st to 3rd place. The chairman of the jury was the Swiss choreographer Heinz Spoerli . The other jury members were:

The US-American-British actress Geraldine Chaplin and the Swiss presenter Jean-Pierre Pastori acted as moderators.
Attendees
A total of 15 countries took part in Eurovision Young Dancers 1995, as many as in the previous two editions. However, Denmark and Estonia withdrew from the competition. Russia and Hungary made their debut in 1995.

The 1995 semi-finals took place on June 3rd, three days before the final. The following countries have already been eliminated in the semi-finals:
