Serik Ospanov

Serik Schämekuly Ospanow ( Kazakh Серік Жәмекұлы Оспанов , Russian Серик Жамекович Оспанов Serik Schamekowitsch Ospanow * 1. July 1964 in Guryev , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician .

Life

Serik Ospanow was born in Guryev in 1964 . He graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1986 . He graduated from the Kazakh National Pedagogical Abai University in 2000 .

He began his professional career after graduating from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute near Mangyschlakneft . In 1989, Ospanov was also politically active in the city committee of the Komsomol , the youth organization of the CPSU , in Shevchenko . Between March and September 1991 he was deputy chairman of the Socio-Economic Development Commission of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan in the city of Shevchenko.

After Kazakhstan's independence, Ospanow first worked for the city administration of Aqtau before he was assistant to the governor of Mangghystau from 1992 to 1994 . For the next two years, he held the post of first deputy mayor of Aktau. In 1996 he became mayor of Aktau. He held this office for a total of around eight years. After the general election in 2004 Ospanow MP for was Nur Otan in the MAZHILIS , the Kazakh parliament. Here he was a member of the Finance and Budget Committee. He was also a member of parliament after the 2007 and 2012 elections.

He has been President of the National Human Rights Center since January 30, 2017.
