KK Diomedéa ( Japanese 株式会社 デ ィ オ メ デ ィ ア , Kabushiki-gaisha Diomedia , Eng. Diomedea inc. ) Is a Japanese animation studio.

history

The company was established in October 2005 as YK Studio Barcelona ( 有限会社スタジオバルセロナ, Yugen-gaisha Sutajio Baruserona ) in Suginami by Nobuyuki Suga, who formerly the animation studio Group TAC established had been working with the purpose of the Manga Dai Maho Tōge as anime to adapt. Its OVA became the studio's first production in April of the following year.

In November 2006 the studio moved to its current location in Nerima . On November 28, 2007, the company was transformed from a Yūgen-gaisha (GmbH) to a Kabushiki-gaisha (stock corporation) and the name was changed to Diomedéa .

In July 2007, the studio made its first anime television series with Nanatsuiro Drops . The Shinryaku! Ika Musume from 2010 also co-financed it.
