Diomede Panici

Diomede Panici (born February 18, 1841 in Ameseno , Italy , † August 6, 1909 in Rome ) was an Italian clergyman and curial archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Diomede Panici received on 18 January 1865, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope Leo XIII. appointed him on October 2, 1896 as secretary of the Congregation for Holy Rites . On April 19, 1900 Leo XIII appointed him. the Titular Archbishop of Laodicea in Phrygia . The Prefect of the Study Congregation , Cardinal Francesco di Paola Satolli , ordained him episcopal on May 1st of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Assistant Secretary of the Consistorial Congregation , Archbishop of Curia Edmund Stonor , and the Bishop Emeritus of Montalcino , Amilcare Tonietti .
