Dirk Breuer

Dirk Breuer (* 10. August 1977 in Huerth ) is a German local politician of the CDU . He was elected full-time mayor of the city of Hürth in September 2015 .

Life

Dirk Breuer grew up in Hürth. After graduating from high school at the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in Hürth and completing basic military service , he studied administrative sciences at the University of Konstanz . He successfully completed his studies in 2004 with a degree in administrative science.

Subsequently, he became office manager of the Bundestag member Willi Zylajew in Berlin and from 2007 was managing director of the CDU district parliamentary group in the Rhein-Erft district . In 2011 he took over the management of investment management in the city of Bonn .

Breuer is married and has two children.

Political career

Breuer was elected to the Hürth City Council in 2009. Since 2012 he has been chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in Hürth. On September 13, 2015, Dirk Breuer was elected mayor by the people of Hürth as successor to Walther Boecker in the first ballot with an absolute majority (56.39 percent). Breuer took office on October 21.
