Dirk Heidenblut (born April 21, 1961 in Essen ) has been the managing director of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund since 1987 , active in disaster control and a politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2013 .

Life

Born in Essen, Dirk Heidenblut went to the Essen Nord-Ost grammar school . After graduating from high school , he studied law in Würzburg and Bochum , but without successfully completing the first state examination in law. He has been a member of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund since he was 18 years old. There he initially worked as a disaster control helper, as chairman of the board and since 1987 managing director.

Dirk Heidenblut is married.

Political career

Heidenblut was a member and social policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group in the Essen city council from 2009 to 2013. From 2010 to 2013 he was also a member of the SPD parliamentary group in the Rhineland Regional Council . He successfully ran as a member of the Bundestag election in 2013 in the Essen II constituency .

In the 18th legislative period of the German Bundestag he was a full member of the Committee on Health and a deputy member of the Interior Committee and the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs . He has been a full member of the Health Committee since the 19th legislative term. In addition, he is a deputy member of the Labor and Social Affairs Committee and the "Artificial Intelligence" study commission.
