Dirk Heinzmann (born October 20, 1977 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

In his youth, Heinzmann played for SF Düsseldorf 75 , TSV Eller 04 and Wuppertaler SV . From 1997 he was used as a striker in the first team. In 1999 he moved to FC Remscheid and from there to the second team of MSV Duisburg . In the summer of 2000 he was loaned to the second team from Hannover 96 . In this he was a regular player. In 2001 he returned to Wuppertal, but to Borussia . After two years he returned to Wuppertaler SV. In this he was a regular player from the 2005/06 season, first in the Regionalliga Nord, then in the third division. In 2009 he moved to the then regional league team Rot-Weiss Essen . In this, however, he almost only came on short assignments. After a year he went to the local rival Schwarz-Weiß Essen . There he was a regular player in the NRW League . In 2012 he was voted Player of the Year by fans. In the 2012/13 season he was rarely used due to an injury. He then ended his playing career.

Heinzmann then began studying "fitness economics" at the German University for Prevention and Health Management . He now runs five fitness studios.
