Dirk Kruger

Dirk Krüger (born April 29, 1970 ) is a German professor of economics . He researches and teaches at the University of Pennsylvania , in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania in the USA .

education

After studying economics in Bielefeld ( Diplom-Volkswirt 1995), Krüger did his doctorate at the University of Minnesota ( Ph. D. Economics 1999 with Edward C. Prescott , Nobel Prize Winner 2005).

Professional Activities

From 1999 to 2004 Dirk Krüger was Assistant Professor of Economics at Stanford University , Stanford , California and at the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2004 joined Dirk Krueger professor (C4) for economics , especially macroeconomics at the Faculty of Economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and went in 2006 as associate professor with tenure contract again to the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently Full Professor and Director of the University of Pennsylvania's graduate program.

Awards

  • 1822 University Prize for excellent teaching from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main (1st prize, 15,000 euros in prize money)
