Dirk Löschner (born December 23, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German theater actor , director and director .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1985, he studied from 1987 to 1991 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . From 1991 to 1992 he studied drama at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris with a grant from the French government . From 1995 to 2001 he studied business administration (focus on marketing and general business administration) as well as media and communication studies at the Free University of Berlin .

From 1992 to 2001 Dirk Löschner worked as a freelance actor and director in Berlin and Potsdam . In 1998 and 1999 he was also director and production manager at the “Lausitzer Opernsommer”. From 2001 to 2009 he was administrative director of the Landestheater Detmold ; from 2006 to 2009 commercial manager of the GmbH and manager of the Detmold summer theater. In 2004 he became the founder and artistic director of the puppet theater festival “Figura Magica” in Detmold . Since 2004 he has also been deputy chairman of the state stage group in the German stage association .

From 2009 to 2012 Dirk Löschner was the artistic director of the Altmark / Landestheater Sachsen-Anhalt Nord . Since 2012 he has been the artistic director and managing director of the Vorpommern Theater in Stralsund , Greifswald and Putbus .

In the summer of 2017 he was appointed general manager of the Staatstheater Nordost , which was to result from the merger of the theaters in Greifswald, Stralsund, Neubrandenburg and Neustrelitz on January 1, 2018.

When the contract expires in summer 2021, Dirk Löschner will leave Theater Vorpommern. His successor is ballet director Ralf Dörnen .

His brother Sascha Löschner is also active in the theater; he followed his brother Dirk Löschner in 2012 to the Theater Vorpommern as chief dramaturge and senior drama director.
