Dirk Weidner

Dirk Weidner , (born May 11, 1976 in Würzburg ) is a German actor and musician .

Life

In 1992 he appeared for the first time as a singer for the title song of the television series When the Animals Left the Forest in appearance ( Corinna and Dirk : Never give up , produced by Giorgio Moroder ). After his acting training at the New Munich Drama School , theater and musical shaped his work and he collaborated with the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt .

In addition to working on stage, Weidner works as a songwriter and lyricist, as well as a music producer. He wrote the musical " Sex on the Beach " with Sandra Pagel and played theater and musical roles such as Dr. Frank N. Furter on The Rocky Horror Show .

In 2015 he played Hauptmann von Schlettow in the musical adaptation of the play Der Hauptmann von Köpenick by Carl Zuckmayer in the courtyard of the town hall in Köpenick

In 2017 he embodied the title character Martin Luther in the musical Luther - Between Love, Death and the Devil .

Following his solo album Bis zur Infendlichkeit , Weidner has been producing pop music under the pseudonym "Dwike" since 2018 .
