criticism
At the end of 2011, the German hip-hop magazine Juice rated the album Dirty Money with four out of a possible six “crowns” as part of a review of UGK's career . The album was " already gathering dust at the time of its release ", which the editor Stephan Szillus attributes to, among other things, conflicts over the musical direction of the duo with his label. In addition, songs like Let Me See It , Choppin 'Blades and Ain't That a Bitch (Ask Yourself) seemed outdated. Nevertheless, this view can be revised in retrospect, since UGK " simply stayed true to their sound ". Although Dirty Money “ hardly anyone wanted to hear it ” at the time of its release , the album is underestimated.
