The Dittligsee is a lake in the area of the municipality of Forst-Längenbühl near the localities of Blumenstein and Wattenwil west of Thun in the canton of Bern , Switzerland .
location
The Dittligsee lies at 652 meters near the confluence of the Fallbach in the Gürbe , on the border to the flat lower Gürbetal . The lake is completely surrounded by reeds . The inflow takes place through drainage pipes, while the lake also flows into the Fallbach and thus into the Gürbe.
Surroundings
The lake is located on the edge of the Alps in a small valley basin. The landscape in the immediate vicinity of the lake is hilly and largely treeless, with the exception of a few individual trees, which are mainly concentrated on the south and west banks.
use
There is only a small jetty at the west end, otherwise the lake is practically inaccessible.
Water pollution
Due to the high nutrient inputs (especially phosphorus), the Dittligsee is very eutrophic . Investigations by the water protection office of the canton of Bern have shown that the total phosphorus load and, as a result, the oxygen deficit in the lower water layers in summer are above average.
