Until December 31, 2006, Längenbühl was a political municipality in the former administrative district of Thun in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .
With effect from January 1, 2007, Längenbühl merged with Forst to form the new municipality of Forst-Längenbühl .
geography
The village is about seven kilometers west of the city of Thun . It has no central town center, but consists of several small settlements, of which Dittligen ( Bern German: "Dittlige") is the largest.
There are three smaller lakes in the former municipal area, namely the Dittlig and Geistsee and a small forest pond .
