Eriz is a municipality in the Thun administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .

geography

The place is in the upper part of the Zulgtal on the southern slope of the Honegg and on the western slope of the Hohgant . The municipality is divided into the two parts of municipalities Aussereriz with the hamlets Äppenschwendi , Buhl , Kapfern and Losenegg and Innereriz with the hamlets offer , hold , Linden , Niedermatt and Scheid fence . Of the total municipal area of ​​2180 ha, 45.1% is agricultural land, 44.0% is covered by forest and wood, 8.4% is unproductive area and only 2.6% is settlement area.
