Unterlangenegg is a municipality in the Thun administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .
geography
The place is located northeast of Thun on a plateau rising from west to east between the Rotachen in the north and the Zulg in the south. There are only parts of the forest directly on the Rotachen and on the steep slope north of the Zulg. The largest settlement is Schwarzenegg (920 m above sea level). Other larger hamlets - all to the west of Schwarzenegg - are Chrüzweg (828 m), Hinderzüne (845 m), Äbnit (858 m) and Ried (870 m). There are also numerous groups of houses and individual farmsteads. Of the total municipal area of 681 hectares, 71.8% is used for agriculture. Another 17.9% is covered by forest and wood and 10.6% is settlement area.
Unterlangenegg borders in the west on Fahrni , in the north on Buchholterberg , in the east on Oberlangenegg and in the south on the Buchen district of the municipality of Horrenbach-Buchen .

languages
The population speaks a high Alemannic dialect in everyday life , which is one of the dialects of Bern German . In the last census in 2000, 97.95% said German, 0.54% Serbo-Croatian and 0.43% Arabic as their main language.
Religions - denominations
In earlier times the entire population belonged to the Evangelical Reformed Church. This has changed due to immigration from other regions of Switzerland and abroad as well as leaving the church. Today (as of 2000) 89.43% are Evangelical Reformed, 3.67% Roman Catholic and 0.65% Orthodox Christians. In addition, there is 3.13% non-denominational. 2.91% of the population gave no answer.
Origin - nationality
At the beginning of 2005, 904 (= 98.58%) of the 917 inhabitants were Swiss citizens. At the last census there were 97.84% Swiss nationals - nine of them dual citizens - immigrants mainly from Germany, Serbia-Montenegro, Africa and France.

The mayor is Michael Graf (as of 2019).
The voting shares of the parties in the 2015 National Council election were: SVP 63.3%, BDP 11.7%, SP 6.9%, EVP 4.1%, GPS 3.8%, glp 3.1%, EDU 2.7 %, FDP 2.0%, CVP 0.6%.

The community is through the bus lines 41 (Thun-Innereriz saw), 42 (Thun-Schwarzenegg-Heimenschwand) and 43 (tuna Heimenschwand ) of the STI connected to the network of public transport.
The community is located on Schallenbergstrasse from Thun to Entlebuch. The closest motorway connection is Thun-Nord on the A6 .
Sports
The Unihockey Club Unterlangenegg (UHCU) has been part of the community for over 10 years. During these years the club has grown steadily and now has 7 teams (including 4 junior teams). The 1st team Herren KF was promoted to the 1st division for the second time in the 06/07 season.
