The Geistsee is a lake in the upper Gürbetal near Thun in the Swiss canton of Bern .
The name of the lake does not refer to a ghost , but to the Geist settlement north of it.
location
The lake has an area of almost one hectare and is located a few hundred meters northeast of the Dittligsee in the municipality of Forst-Längenbühl .
Surroundings
The landscape around the Geistsee is hilly and partly forested, especially south of the lake. There is a reed belt along the shore.
