Divaco
The Divaco AG is a German investment company based in Langenburg (formerly Frankfurt) supported by the Metro Group (49 percent), Deutsche Bank (39 percent) and Gerling was held -Konzerns (12 percent), with initially up to 250 subsidiaries that the Metro Group brought into the company at book value with the aim of realizing them.
history
On August 6, 1998, Niefran Beteiligungs AG was founded in Frankfurt am Main with the aim of realizing the subsidiaries that were not part of the Metro Group's core business. In November, the company changed its name to Divag Beteiligungs AG and two months later to Divaco Beteiligungs Aktiengesellschaft.
As of December 31, 2003, Divaco was sold retrospectively to the sole shareholder and sole director Siegfried Kaske (previously CFO of Metro AG) for one euro as part of a management buyout . The Metro Group waived the repayment of its shareholder loan in the amount of 250 million euros. However, in January 2004 the group acquired the Adler Modemärkte from Divaco for 60 million euros and also took over bank liabilities in the amount of 280 million euros. The transaction was in part sharply criticized by Metro shareholders.
In 2007 the company moved its headquarters to Langenburg , and in 2010 it changed its name to Divaco AG; this is the personally liable partner of Divaco AG & Co. KG, founded in 1998, since 2010 Divaco Holding AG & Co. KG with headquarters in Langenburg (formerly Saarbrücken), as their limited partners the holding companies Divafon and Divacom (managing directors: Siegfried Kaske and Arndt Volz) Have made deposits of 324 and 76 million euros respectively. The balance sheet total in 2011 was around 430 million euros. In August 2019, Arndt Volz was appointed to the board.
