The 2006/07 season of Division 1 , the second highest French ice hockey league , was won by the Diables Noirs de Tours , who were promoted to the Ligue Magnus . The Corsaires de Dunkerque , Jokers de Cergy-Pontoise and Jets de Viry-Châtillon were relegated to Division 2 .

In the main round, the 16 teams were divided into two groups. The four best-placed teams in each main round group qualified for the final round, the first-placed team being promoted directly to Division 1. The runner-up had to compete in the relegation against the penultimate of the Ligue Magnus. The four last placed in each main round group had to compete in the relegation round. The last three placed in the relegation round were relegated to Division 2, while the fourth from bottom of the relegation round had to compete in the relegation for relegation. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
