Djamel Eddine Mesbah ( Arabic جمال الدين مصباح, DMG Ǧamāl ad-Dīn Miṣbāḥ ; Born October 9, 1984 in Zighoud Youcef , Algeria ) is a French- Algerian football player .

Mesbah began his career in the youth of the French club Annecy-le-Vieux . In 2001 Mesbah was discovered by scouts from the Swiss club Servette FC Genève . There he made his professional debut in the 2003/04 season. He scored three goals in eleven games. Because of Geneva's financial difficulties, he left the club in the summer of 2004 for FC Basel . There he was only a supplementary player. That is why he was loaned to FC Lorient in France in January 2006 in Ligue 2 . Due to an injury, he could not play a single game for the club. In the summer of 2006 Mesbah signed a contract with FC Aarau , where he became a regular. In 2007 he saved Aarau with three goals in the barrage from relegation. After two years he moved to FC Luzern . There he signed on July 1, 2008, but was awarded to US Avellino in Italy on September 1 . After his loan, he signed a contract with US Lecce in the summer of 2009 . With Lecce he got into the Serie A on. In January 2012 he moved to AC Milan , the Italian champions of the previous season, where he signed a contract until the end of June 2016. On January 29, 2012 he made his league debut for AC Milan in a 3-0 win over Cagliari Calcio .
After further stints in Italy at FC Parma , AS Livorno , Sampdoria Genua and FC Crotone , Mesbah switched to FC Lausanne-Sport in the summer of 2017 and played there for four months. After more than two years without a club, he was signed by Étoile Carouge in winter 2018/19 , but did not play a game until the end of the season and left the club again. Since then he has been without a club again.
National team
In 2010 Mesbah made his debut in the Algerian national team and was also nominated for the 2010 Soccer World Cup . By 2017 he had a total of 35 games in which he was able to score a goal.
