Djurslands Jernbane Museum is a Danish railway museum . It is in three standing roundhouse of the station Ryomgård in Ryomgård in Djursland housed.
history
The museum was founded in 1981 on the initiative of “Ryomgård Borgerforening” and “Foreningen til bevarelse og udbygning af Djurslands Jernbaner” together with the former traffic manager WM Rosenflügel from Grenå.
Ryomgård station, previously a railway junction, was chosen as the location for the museum. The lines to Randers (1876–1971), Grenaa (1876 – now), Aarhus (1877 – now) and Ryomgård – Gjerrild – Grenaa (1891–1956) used to meet in the station . Since 2019 Ryomgård has been serving Aarhus Letbane .
In 2006 the museum was taken over by the Dansk Jernbane Club . It is run exclusively by volunteers and is only open to the public in summer, except for groups.
