Dmitri Olegowitsch Malzew ( Russian Дмитрий Олегович Мальцев ; born January 20, 1991 in Omsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with HK Sochi in the Continental Hockey League until October 2017 .

Career

Dmitri Malzew began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Awangard Omsk . From there he moved in 2005 to the youth department of Lokomotive Yaroslavl , for whose second team he was active in the third-class Pervaya league from 2007 to 2009 . Then the attacker played for three years for the junior team Loko Yaroslavl in the multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga . At the same time, he made his debut in the Vysschaya Hockey League , the second Russian division , for the newly formed professional Lokomotive Yaroslavl team after the plane crash near Yaroslavl in the 2011/12 season .

In the 2012/13 season he became a regular player for Lokomotive Yaroslavl in the Continental Hockey League , while continuing to play in the Vysschaya Hockey League for the second team of Lokomotiv.

In August 2014 he left the association and moved with Vitaly Sotow to Metallurg Novokuznetsk , a year later he returned to Lokomotive with Sotow.
