Dmitri Woldemarowitsch Trelewski ( Russian Дмитрий Вольдемарович Трелевский ; born November 14, 1983 in Frunze , Kyrgyz SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Kyrgyz ski racer .

Career

Trelewski took part in all world championships from 2005 to 2013 and 2017. His best result was a 45th place in the slalom in Åre in 2007 . At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Trelewski was alongside cross-country skier Olga Reschetkowa one of two participants in Kyrgyzstan and the flag bearer of his country. He started in slalom and giant slalom. In the slalom, Trelewski was eliminated in the first round, in the giant slalom he finished 76th after two rounds.

He was the only athlete in his country to be nominated at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and was once again the flag bearer at the opening ceremony. In a training accident, however, Trelewski was seriously injured so that he could not start in the competition.
