Dmitry Kajumov

Dmitry Kajumov ( Russian Дмитрий Дмитриевич Каюмов ; born February 28, 1949 in Tashkent ) is an Uzbek chess player .

He played five times for the Uzbek SSR at the Soviet team championships (1975 to 1983, 1991). He also took part twice in the Asian team championships (1993 and 1999).

At the Uzbek Individual Championship in 1993 he was tied for second with Tahir Vakhidov and Raset Ziatdinov .

In 1993 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 2003. His highest rating was 2505 in January 2003.

His son Sergey (* 1981) is also a grandmaster.
