Marat Dzhumaev

Marat Dzhumaev ( Russian Марат Рустамович Джумаев ; born January 12, 1976 in Samarqand ) is an Uzbek chess player .

He won the Uzbek individual championship twice: in 2012 and 2015. He played for Uzbekistan at five Chess Olympiads : 2000 , 2002 and 2012 to 2016 . He also took part in the World Team Championships (2001) in Yerevan and the Asian Team Championships (1999, 2003, 2008 and 2016).

In 1998 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 2001. He has held the title of FIDE coach since 2016 and has been a FIDE referee since 2018. His highest Elo rating was 2569 in January of 2005.
