Mihail Saltaev ( Russian Михаил Салтаев ; born November 19, 1962 in Chirchiq ) is an Uzbek chess player .

He played for Uzbekistan at three Chess Olympiads : 1992 , 1996 and 1998 . He also took part in the Asian Team Championships (1995) in Singapore .

He played three times for the Uzbek SSR at the Soviet team championships (1983, 1986 and 1991).

In Germany he has been playing with SV Mülheim-Nord in the 1st Bundesliga since 2004 , in the Dutch Meester class he played for HMC Calder in the 2004/05 season, for the Enscheder club ESGOO in the 2008/09 season and in 2010 until 2015 for the Schaakvereniging Voerendaal , with which he became champion in 2012 . In Belgium, Saltaev plays for KSK Rochade Eupen-Kelmis , for which he competed from 2003 to 2011; From 2013 to 2016 he was active for the KSK 47 Eynatten and became Belgian team champion with this in 2014 .

In 1990 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 1995.
