Doc Gynéco (German: gynecologist ; born July 7, 1974 in Clichy-sous-Bois , Département Seine-Saint-Denis ; real name Bruno Beausir ) is a French rapper . His nickname was bestowed on him by his friends at the end of his youth to boast of his qualities as a seducer.

Life

Bruno Beausir is the son of a mother from the Antilles and a French father who left the two in 1990. His childhood was marked by poverty and he said his mother was on the SMIC (the legal minimum wage in France).

He met rapper Gilles Duarte, known as Stomy Bugsy , who became one of his best friends alongside rapper Passi , and settled in Sarcelles . There he brought out his first album Autopsy in 1993 with the rap group "Ministère AMER" .

The record company Virgin Records took him under contract in 1994. In 1996 he published his first album, Première consultation (German: "first consultation hour"), recorded together with an orchestra in Los Angeles , whose texts, which were in part provocative, provoked numerous negative reviews. This album was nevertheless awarded a platinum record .

In 1997 he was nominated at the French music competition "Victoires de la musique" in the category Discovery of the Year. In 1998 his second album "Liaisons dangereuses" was released, which includes a duet with Bernard Tapie : C'est beau la vie . In 2001 the album Quality Street , recorded in London, was released , the lyrics of which are interpreted by numerous other singers. In 2002 he released the album Solitaire , which was voted the best rap and hip-hop album the following year as part of the “Victoires de la musique”. With other rappers like Corneille or Arsenik Doc Gynéco took part in the original soundtrack of the film " Taxi 3 ".

In 2006 the artist released the albums Un Homme nature and Doc enregistre au quartier and published an autobiography called Un Homme nature , in which he described his childhood and his amorous conquests.

Doc Gynéco is the owner of the “Virgin Rue” label. In an interview with the television producer and show master Thierry Ardisson , he stated that he had a wife and child, but did not live with them.

In 2001 the artist stated that he was close to the Parti socialiste , but joined the conservative UMP in 2006 and announced his support for Nicolas Sarkozy in the 2007 presidential election campaign . According to his own statements, he considers Sarkozy “a friend” ( un ami ). According to him, the social policy of the conservative politician should restore the dignity of the inhabitants of the suburbs (banlieues) and dissuade them from their supply mentality. French rappers believed Doc Gynéco had been manipulated because of his conservative positions.
