The series takes the story of Medea as its model. Dr. Gemma Foster works as a general practitioner in a small town in the south of England, where she leads a quiet and happy life with her husband and son. But everything changes when she learns that her husband has had an affair with a young woman for several months. Gemma is split between saving her marriage and taking revenge on her unfaithful husband.
