Dokki ( Arabic الدقي, DMG ad-Duqqī , German  port ) is a district in Giza , which belongs to the greater Cairo area ( Egypt ). Dokki is on the west side of the Nile across from downtown Cairo.

There are around 40 embassies in Dokki, including those of Russia , Somalia , France , Chad , the Czech Republic , Pakistan and Ethiopia . Only the Zamalek district houses more embassies. King Idris of Libya died in a palace in Dokki in 1983.

There are two international schools in Dokki, the German Evangelical High School in Cairo and the Pakistan International School of Cairo.
