The Doll Fahrzeugbau GmbH is a manufacturer of commercial vehicles originally in Oppenau has been resident in the Black Forest.

history

The company was founded in 1878 as a carriage forge by Johann Georg Doll and today employs around 300 people with an apprenticeship rate of 10 percent at the Oppenau location.

The medium-sized company is divided into several business areas: timber transport, heavy transport , airfield vehicles and special lifting vehicles. Another mainstay of Doll are government vehicles : These mainly include military trailers and superstructures, such as semi-trailers for heavy-duty transporters of the Bundeswehr and the armies of other countries.

The export activities with the main markets Africa and Asia have always been of great importance for the development of the company. The Doll sales offices in Algeria and Singapore as well as a joint venture with the company CTV in Thailand emerged from the diverse contacts in these regions. The company also has sales and service partners in numerous countries.

With the commissioning of Doll Sachsen in Mildenau in 2009, Doll opened a new production facility in which part of the Doll product range is manufactured and mainly sold in Eastern Europe.

On September 2 of the same year, the Berlin-based investment company Capital Management Partners (CMP) bought the group of companies, which from then on was managed by Mark Toschek and Thomas Fred Herkommer.
