Dolmen de la Petifaie

The Dolmen de la Petifaie (also called Pierre à sacrifice du Putifad, Putifay or Pui-des-Fées or Pierre Couverte du château de la Ferrière ) is located in a forest north of La Ferrière-de-Flée , near and south of the road " Les Vionnières ”, which forms the border with the Mayenne department , in the far north of the Maine-et-Loire department in France .

In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ). The small dolmen lying in the mound is covered by a single ceiling plate that rests on five supporting stones.

The Menhir Pierre a Sacrifice is located about 60 m away, right next to the street . It is said to have once been a sacrificial stone with grooves on it .

The dolmen has been classified as a monument historique since 1990 .
