Dolmen du Bois de la Pidoucière
The Dolmen du Bois de la Pidoucière (also called Pierre Couverte, Filoussière or Morellière ) is located in a forest near the D 137 road, southeast of Corzé in the Maine-et-Loire department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature).
description
The small dolmen of the angevin type (also known as the Loire type), with a pre-built portal, has been registered as a monument historique since 1984 . The sandstone dolmen, slightly shifted to the side, is a perfect angevin type dolmen with an entrance portal made up of two columns and a slab. Originally there were two records. The rectangular chamber is covered by a single capstone. The blocks around the dolmen are likely the remains of a curb circle.
