Dolmen du Chanet

The Dolmen du Chanet (also called "Chanet 1") is located near the Ardèche , opposite the Grotte du Parapluie , southwest of Saint-Remèze , near Montelimar in the Ardèche department in France . It is one of the "Dolmens de l'Ardèche", which with 800 dolmens form the second largest megalithic area behind Brittany . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The limestone dolmen consists of the large ceiling slab that protrudes further at the side, two long lateral supporting stones and the short end stone. Another stone is on the side of the chamber.
