The Dolmen du Pech von Grammont is a double dolmen west of Gramat in the Lot department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The dolmen, a small one (Petit dolmen; in the west) and a larger one (Grand dolmen; in the east), lie in an oval cairn on a ridge next to a sinkhole . The second dolmen is an extension of the older one and is connected to it by an intermediate plate.

The rectangular eastern dolmen, initially placed in the middle of the hill, has a broken capstone about 3.5 m long, 0.5 m thick. He is the older and bigger of the two. The interior of the chamber has the first window plate found in the Causses and a small stone box. Both are architectural features that are unique to Quercy. For the construction of the coaxially located second and smaller trapezoidal dolmen, the initially round hill was brought into an oval shape about 20.0 meters long. Three bearing stones up to 1.9 m long and the rest of a 1.7 m long ceiling slab have been preserved.

Jacques-Antoine Deplon had already recognized the original architecture. After the excavation from 1968-1969, Jean Clottes and Michel Carrière confirmed the concept of "double pillars", of which Pech de Gramont is the original form. The excavation revealed that each chamber was surrounded by a low wall (around the west chamber, rectangular around the east chamber).

The relics in the two chambers are different. A number of shards were also found next to the east dolmen on the ground at the base of the hill, a phenomenon already observed at the Dolmen du Rat .

The dolmen has been registered as a Monument historique since 2012 .
