description

Dolmen M XII by Petit-Chasseur

The oldest systems, M VI and M XII, are relatively small and made of platy limestone . The dolmens are rectangular and above ground and have a lateral access. They have antenna-like vestibules and were framed by a long, triangular, low stone mound made of quarry stone , called a pedestal , which did not reach the top of the dolmen.

These so-called antendolms date from around 2400 BC. And no longer have a podium. The people of the Néolithique final valasian are considered to be their builders . The systems combine fund as standard with the Beaker people they nachnutzten and new dolmens or stone boxes built. Dolmen M XII contained the remains of at least 90 individuals.

Other monuments are the engraved stones in the alignment of Chemin des Collines . The megalithic complexes of Saint Martin de Corléans near Aosta can be an offshoot on Italian territory .
